What the Free plan actually includes

Use the calendar to organize drafts and scheduled content, upload images or videos within your storage allowance, and choose a date and time for a connected destination. You can adapt each destination's caption and available settings rather than sending the same wording everywhere.

Free is a single-member workspace. It is useful for a personal publishing routine or a solo evaluation of the product. It does not give a client or teammate a second seat for shared reviews. You can keep the free plan while your account and publishing volume remain within its limits.

Count destinations before you plan the month

A destination is one social account receiving a post. One post sent to two accounts uses two destinations, even when both versions use the same video. Five ideas sent to two accounts use ten destinations. The allowance is based on publishing destinations, not on how many cards you see on the calendar.

For example, a solo creator planning two LinkedIn profile posts a week can test a steady routine without using every destination. Add a YouTube upload and the same calendar shows both workflows. Check the allowance displayed in your workspace before scheduling; canceling a reservation does not return allowance already used or reserved.

The useful limits to know upfront

Free focuses on the calendar and individual scheduling. Recurring queues, CSV bulk scheduling, reusable caption and hashtag templates, campaigns and channel analytics start on Creator. Team collaboration, approvals, advanced insights, reports and eligible evergreen recycling start on Pro.

Free signup does not remove provider restrictions. Facebook and Instagram connections are pending Meta approval. Pinterest customer access and LinkedIn company Pages are also pending approval. TikTok currently sends inbox drafts that need your action in TikTok. YouTube upload visibility depends on the project's permissions and platform restrictions. Confirm the connection available to your account before relying on an unattended post.

Try one real publishing cycle

Start with one account and a few posts. That lets you check authorization, processing and visibility without committing a whole month to an untested connection. Scheduled delivery runs on the server, but dispatch time and public visibility are different when a provider still needs to process media.

1. Create an account, verify your email and open your workspace.
2. Check Social accounts for the network you need. Authorize an available connection through its official sign-in and confirm the account name.
3. Upload a small approved asset and create a post. Review the caption, media and settings for that destination.
4. Confirm the workspace timezone and schedule a suitable slot. Keep unsupported or approval-pending content as drafts for native publishing.
5. After dispatch, read the destination's status and check the result on the network. Finish any TikTok inbox draft in TikTok.

Compare free plans by the job you need

Ask whether the offer is an ongoing free plan or a time-limited trial. Then compare the account count, the meaning of its posting allowance and the exact network features you need. A monthly allowance and a queue that refills after each published post are different limits.

Buffer's published free plan allows three channels and ten queued posts per channel at a time, with the queue refilling as posts publish. Cadalio Free allows two accounts and twenty scheduled destinations per month. Neither limit alone tells you which tool fits: a larger ongoing queue and a small monthly routine solve different needs.

Upgrade when a specific limit matters

Creator is $12 per month for eight accounts and two hundred destinations. Pro is $29 per month for twenty accounts, one thousand destinations, three workspaces and three members per workspace. Agency is $79 per month with no plan-based account, destination, workspace or member limit. Provider limits and storage allowances still apply.
