Read social media analytics one channel at a time

Choose the question before the chart

• Audience growth: how has this channel's reported follower or subscriber count changed?
• Publishing consistency: how many destinations actually published during the selected period?
• Post response: which measured posts received the most interactions on this channel?
• Content planning: which subjects or formats are worth trying again?

Open a channel's results

1. Open Analytics in the workspace and choose a date range.
2. Review the channel summaries, then select View results for the channel you want to understand.
3. Choose an available metric and read the trend alongside its latest measured value.
4. Compare the channel's posts within the same period.
5. Sync analytics when you need a fresh snapshot, allowing time for the platform to return updated data.

Understand the boundaries of a measurement

Followers and YouTube subscribers describe different audiences. An interaction total may use different available measures across platforms. Compare like with like: the same channel, metric, content format and time window.

A trend contains recorded snapshots, not continuous measurement. Gaps can reflect when the account was connected, when data was synchronized or what the platform returned. A missing measurement should not be interpreted as a day of zero performance.

Published posts and measured posts are not necessarily the same set. A successful publish can appear before the network makes its performance data available.

Use results for the next useful decision

Look for repeatable patterns across several posts before changing your strategy. One unusually strong post is a reason to investigate its topic, opening and timing, not proof that every future post should copy it.

Best-time suggestions need enough of your own performance history. Until then, choose a practical schedule, publish consistently and gather results. Review the limitations of each channel before presenting a client report.
